Understanding the symptoms
If you feel like you could be suffering from dry eyes, knowing the symptoms can help towards a solution. These include:

- Feeling of sand or grit in the eye
- Contact lens discomfort

- Watery eyes

Our Dry Eye Clinic
Often people think that dry eyes are due to external irritants, however, this isn’t always the case. Dry eyes can occur by your eyes not producing enough tears, or that your tear quality isn’t good enough. This can be for several reasons, such as hormonal changes, ageing or even side effects of medications. All Dipple & Conway clients can benefit from access to our Dry Eye Clinic by booking a Tear Film Assessment. During the assessment, we use the latest breakthrough technology, including the Tearlab Osmolarity Test to aid diagnosis.
Using a very small sample of tears from each eye, the Tearlab gives objective results immediately, and meaningful measurement of the health and stability of the tear film.

Thank you to Billie and the rest of the team at Dipple and Conway. For many years I have been very sceptical about taking advice from opticians in terms of styles, fits and frames but instantly it was very clear that she is extremely knowledgable about her profession. The customer service from her and the entire team is faultless. The quality of the frames and lenses are incredible. High Street brand opticians have their place in the world but there is absolutely no comparison to a professional company like Dipple and Conway. These folks are in a completely different league. I have been using the Dipple & Conway Norwich branch for several years now and I can't sing their praises enough. Always excellent professional service, with staff who are highly trained and knowledgeable. I have been given the best advice for my needs and therefore, a prescription to match. There are various options available, depending on your preferences for testing - I generally take the full package, including a scan etc. as the best technology is used here. Not only that, they have a select range of frames and sunglasses from well chosen brands, with something for everyone in the latest designs and styles. The dispensing team has been helpful, as I was so indecisive. Always a calm and relaxed environment, it is a pleasure to visit!

Dipple & Conway provide an excellent service but the cost of getting new lens when you don’t want new frames is extremely expensive. I pay a monthly subscription which is nearly £200 annually, so you’d expect a decent discount for new lens. Sadly I’ve ben charged £220 for a pair of single vision lens, that includes the 10% I get for my membership. I feel I have to go through Dipple to get lens because recent experiences getting new lens online have been poor. The daft thing is new glasses would have been £260 with a 25% discount but my existing Rayban frames are lovely and only a year old, it’s wasteful to throw them away.

D and C make you feel like a valued customer. Their VCP is confidence inspiring as if there is a problem you are given an appointment so promptly. My fortnightly contact lenses are so very comfortable and give me extremely good vision considering the shortcomings of my natural sight. From the welcome at reception to the personalised care shown by both Aaron and Deborah I always feel in very professional and approachable hands. Am I their longest standing client having had my first glasses from them 64 years ago?

My husband and I have recently become customers of Dipple & Conway. We both needed new glasses, also my husband additionally new contact lenses. Our service there has been outstanding. We worked with Billie, on our 3 visits. Billie is wonderful. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable and super friendly. We both love our new glasses.
