Our Audiology Practices

We provide a free ear test at our five Norfolk branches: Norwich, Swaffham, Diss, Cromer (Cromer EyeCare) and Hunstanton (Hunstanton EyeCare). These services can be booked independently or alongside your routine eye health checks. Our branches are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by highly qualified, experienced audiologists, ensuring the highest standard of care for your hearing tests.

The Hearing Test

Take the first step towards better hearing with a simple, yet crucial hearing test at Dipple and Conway. Our friendly, qualified Hearing Aid Dispensers (HAD) will guide you through every step. We will start by checking your ears for blockages or wax to ensure accurate results. Next, we will perform the Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) test, which involves listening to beeps at various pitches and volumes to gauge your hearing sensitivity. If needed, a Bone Conduction (BC) test will assess how well your inner ear processes sound, this all helps towards our ear ringing test. Full Hearing Test

Our comprehensive hearing test includes a quick ear check for blockages or wax, followed by a Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) test to assess your hearing at various pitches and volumes. If needed, we'll also conduct a Bone Conduction (BC) test and, in some cases, a Speech in Noise test to evaluate your hearing in noisy environments. Your Hearing Aid Dispenser (HAD) will explain the results in detail, ensuring you leave with a clear understanding of your hearing health.

At Dipple and Conway, we understand that sometimes it’s not possible to visit our branches due to health or mobility challenges. That’s why we’re proud to offer a home visit service, bringing the same expert care and attention directly to your doorstep. Whether it’s a hearing test, hearing aid fitting, or any of our other services, we’ll ensure you receive the same high-quality experience in the comfort and convenience of your own home. While there is a small fee for this service, we’re committed to making your hearing care as accessible and easy as possible.

Hearing Service Plan

Got your hearing aids from a different supplier? No problem at all! At Dipple and Conway, we’re here to help with our Hearing Aid Service Plan, no matter where you purchased your devices. As long as your hearing aids are under 5 years old (and not from the NHS), we’ve got you covered. Our service plan includes everything you need to keep your hearing aids in top condition, so you can enjoy clear, reliable sound every day. Let us take care of your hearing needs, even if you didn’t buy your aids from us we’re here to support you every step of the way!

Hearing Screening

At Dipple and Conway, we’re committed to looking after both your hearing and your eye health. That’s why we offer a free hearing screening service to give you peace of mind. The screening is quick and simple, taking no more than 10 minutes, and can be done either in-store or from the comfort of your home.
